Dubai AI Hub's second Knowledge Lab moves from research papers to a book: John Ousterhout's A Philosophy of Software Design, which argues that complexity, not raw effort, is what makes software hard to build and maintain. The session works through the book's core ideas and applies them to working with AI coding agents, asking what a codebase designed for agent collaboration actually looks like. As before, an extended open-mic discussion follows the main session, where attendees connect the ideas to their own projects. Aimed at engineers, founders and students who want to go beyond surface-level AI coding.
