An HCD UAE Meetup session on designing products and services that feel native to the people using them, not just translated for them. A joint talk from Afaf Dashty and Anisa Al Raisi, digital product designers at Koos, opens the evening, followed by a panel with Dr Elizabeth Churchill (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence), Joumana Mahmoud (Head of Creative & Design, frog Middle East) and moderator Jonathan Steingiesser (HCD UAE founder). The discussion covers designing with culture and context from the outset, balancing global products with local behaviour, and what it actually means for a product to feel native in a market as diverse as the UAE. Aimed at product designers, researchers and product professionals.
